What B1 grammar covers

B1 is where French storytelling starts, and its centre of gravity is the choice between the passé composé and the imparfait — the single topic intermediate learners revisit most. Around it sit the pronouns y and en, relative clauses with qui and que that let one sentence carry two ideas, comparisons (plus … que, moins … que, aussi … que), and the future tenses. Participle agreement explains why it’s la lettre que j’ai écrite, and the negation lesson adds nuance like ne … personne and ne … aucun. Prepositions after verbs (décider de, réussir à) round out the level. Expect longer example sentences and patterns that interact with each other.
