Chaque matin, Inès passe devant un vieux vélo bleu attaché près du canal. Il a un panier vide et une clochette cassée. Un lundi, elle voit une note sous la selle. Inès rit, puis elle remarque une adresse écrite au crayon. Après l'école, elle suit la rue jusqu'à une petite cour. Là, un monsieur âgé arrose des tomates. Il reconnaît le vélo tout de suite. Il l'a perdu il y a trois semaines pendant le marché. Pour remercier Inès, il répare la clochette et lui donne une tomate ronde. Le lendemain, le vélo bleu n'est plus seul: un nouveau ruban rouge danse sur son panier.

Every morning, Inès walks past an old blue bicycle locked near the canal. It has an empty basket and a broken bell. One Monday, she sees a note under the saddle. Inès laughs, then notices an address written in pencil. After school, she follows the street to a small courtyard. There, an elderly man is watering tomatoes. He recognizes the bicycle immediately. He lost it three weeks ago during the market. To thank Inès, he repairs the bell and gives her a round tomato. The next day, the blue bicycle is no longer alone: a new red ribbon dances on its basket.
